About the role
The Quality Assurance, EHS & Logistics Manager will lead and drive quality, environmental health & safety, and logistics operations for the Leesburg, FL plant. This position manages plant assets and personnel in alignment with Wolverine’s (WAM) business objectives and the established Quality Management System, while serving as the primary liaison for the global customer base. The role is also responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of an effective EHS program and directs all Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics operations for the facility.
This position is located in Leesburg, Florida and is not telework eligible.
What you'll do
Quality Assurance
- Manage and maintain the plant Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with applicable standards and Wolverine business requirements.
- Lead quality planning, inspection, and testing activities to ensure products meet customer and regulatory specifications.
- Serve as the primary quality liaison for the global customer base, managing communications, audits, complaints, and corrective actions.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality escapes and non-conformances.
- Maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records.
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits; support customer and third-party audit activities.
- Analyze quality metrics and drive improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including customer complaints, scrap, NCRs, and First Time Quality (FTQ); report results to plant leadership and corporate stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and maintain IATF 16949 certification for the Leesburg plant.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
- Develop, implement, and administer the plant EHS program in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, and other applicable agencies).
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation; maintain all required regulatory records and reports.
- Coordinate employee safety training programs and ensure compliance with all mandatory EHS training requirements.
- Maintain environmental permits, manage waste disposal programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.
- Lead plant emergency response planning; coordinate drills, preparedness activities, and serve as the facility’s regulatory contact for EHS-related inspections and reporting obligations.
- Obtain and maintain ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) certification for the facility.
Logistics, Shipping & Receiving
- Direct all Shipping and Receiving operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant handling of inbound and outbound materials.
- Manage logistics service providers, freight carriers, and customs brokers to optimize cost, transit time, and reliability.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and warehouse management system (WMS) utilization.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, Incoterms, and applicable trade compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and operations teams to align logistics capacity with production schedules and customer commitments.
People & Asset Management
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team across QA, EHS, and Logistics functions; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and support individual development plans for direct reports.
- Manage plant assets within area of responsibility, including calibration equipment, safety systems, and warehouse equipment; prepare and manage departmental budgets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management, with demonstrated exposure to EHS and/or logistics management
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required; small-to-mid-size plant operation experience a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or direct reports
- Shainin RED X and or Green Belt Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Minitab, Excel; proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (Plex or similar)
- AIAG Core Tools experience
- Problem-solving skills: 8D, RedX, Fishbone Diagram, 5-Why
- Hands-on mechanical / manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement methods, approaches, tools, and methodologies
- In-depth experience with practical application of Quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Strong ethics, values, and the ability to influence others’ decision making
- Process-oriented with the ability to contribute to and drive continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface effectively with the global customer base
- Solid computer skills; detail-oriented and self-directed
- Ability to effectively influence and impact across work groups and at all levels of the organization
