Nursing Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provides personal care and basic care to patients assigned to Emergency Services, under the direct supervision of a RN.
- May be assigned to psychiatric overflow areas or sitter duties as requested by management.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Required:High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant I course approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Current listing with the NC Division of Facility Services Registry as a Nursing Assistant I.
- BLS certification required: recertification required bi-annually
- NCI/MH Training within 3 months of hire; recertification required annually.
- Proficient in keyboard operations and basic computer applications.
