We are seeking a strong, service-driven leader to oversee safety, security, and emergency preparedness for our Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). This role is critical in ensuring a safe, secure, and well-prepared environment for our residents, staff, and visitors across all levels of care.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily security operations including patrol, access control, surveillance, and incident response
- Develop and manage the community's Emergency Preparedness Program in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Plan and conduct emergency drills (fire, severe weather, evacuation, active threat)
- Serve as a key leader during emergencies and coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS
- Supervise, schedule, and develop security team members
- Conduct investigations and complete incident reporting and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Life Safety, and Arkansas regulations
- Promote a strong culture of safety and risk prevention across the community
- Oversee and maintain security systems (cameras, alarms, access control)
- Manage departmental budget and identify opportunities for improvement
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of experience in security, law enforcement, emergency management, or healthcare safety
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness and life safety regulations (healthcare/LTC preferred)
- Strong decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to stay calm and lead effectively in high-pressure situations
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
- Healthcare or senior living experience

Additional Requirements
- On-call availability and ability to respond to emergencies 24/7 as needed
- Ability to walk, stand, and patrol the community for extended periods
- Must be able to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong computer skills for reporting, scheduling, and security systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
