Automation & Integration Engineer/Information Security OfficerPosition Summary:
The Automation & Integration Engineer/Information Security Officer will support the development of intelligent automation and system integrations across the organization. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational programming experience—especially in Python—and a strong interest in artificial intelligence, workflow automation, and connecting systems to improve care delivery and operations.
The engineer will work closely with Informatics, IT, and operational teams to implement AI-powered tools, automate routine processes, and ensure seamless data exchange between systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in software development, automation, or system integration (internships/projects acceptable).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems or interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tools (e.g., prompt engineering, NLP basics, or model APIs).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and emerging technologies.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Python (scripting, automation, or small applications).
- Familiarity with APIs (REST), and data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
- Basic understanding of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, or similar).
- Exposure to version control (e.g., Git).
