Crouse’s Clinical Nutritional Services team is hiring a Room Service Call Representative. This positionis responsible for obtaining meal requests from patients and families at Crouse Hospital through the At-Your-Request Room Service Dining order system. Duties include obtaining detailed meal request information via phone or fax and accurately input meal information into the computer system while providing excellent customer service.
Pay Range: $19.50 - $24.84
Available Schedule(s): Per diem - Shift length varies to cover the span of room service (6:30-7:15pm). This position would need to be available to pick up any shift within these hours.
Room Service Call Representative Responsibilities:
- Accurately processes phone calls and fax orders using the approved procedure/greeting for patient meal requests and nourishments.
- Assists patients and families with meal orders by providing in-person consultations as needed.
- Maintains knowledge, skills and abilities to properly identify and process correct diets and portions for all meal requests.
- Reviews and monitors patient orders regularly by ensuring that all patient needs are met for each meal period and follows up with those needing meal selection as needed.
- Documents and maintains accurate patient diet changes within the room service order system and follows standard procedures for diet patterns.
- Provides assistance with tray assembly and delivery as needed.
- Coordinates morning/afternoon/evening nourishment orders, including tub feeding and oral supplement orders; produces data and reports for all meal orders documented on a daily basis.
- Provides patients and families with referral information to clinical dieticians or diet technicians regarding medical nutrition therapy inquiries.
Room Service Call Representative Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Basic keyboarding skills and previous computer experience required.
