Description:
Are you an experienced 3rd Shift Supervisor looking to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a motivated individual with strong leadership and technical skills to oversee operations during our evening shift. This role offers the opportunity to supervise a team of 50+ employees, ensure production goals are met, and apply your machine troubleshooting expertise to maintain efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of machine operators and technicians.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Accurately track employee work hours and approved timecards per company policies.
- Address any employee concerns or performance issues professionally and effectively.
Machine Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
- Utilize your technical skills to diagnose and resolve machine issues, minimizing downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and proactively address potential problems.
Training & Development:
- Train and mentor employees to enhance technical skills and increase productivity.
- Identify individual skill gaps and coordinate appropriate training initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and employee development.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in manufacturing supervision, preferably in a machine shop environment.
- Strong machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting experience.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic proficiency with computer applications for documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift and occasional weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.
