Position Overview

The Permanency Specialist plays a vital role by working directly with children and families to help them achieve life‑long connections, including adoption.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet with children and families to complete units of service referred by the Statewide Adoption Network, including:
- Child Profiles
- Family Profiles
- Child Preparation
- Child Specific Recruitment
- Adoption Finalization
- Partner with youth, families, and stakeholders to support long‑term permanency goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold KidsPeace values of compassion, integrity, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field
- 1–2 years of experience in the child welfare system (preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Must be 21 years of age or older
