The Assistant General Manager supports the full scope of hotel operations across both properties while taking an active leadership role in sales initiatives and revenue performance. This position ensures outstanding guest service, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily activities across front desk, housekeeping, guest services, maintenance, and security
- Uphold brand standards and company expectations with consistency and excellence
- Cultivate a positive, service-driven culture focused on guest satisfaction and team engagement
- Lead safety programs, including training, reporting, and compliance
Sales & Revenue Management
- Support and execute revenue-driving strategies to boost ADR and occupancy
- Participate in sales calls, prospecting, and hands-on business development
- Partner with Sales to enhance client relationships and grow key accounts
- Ensure seamless communication between Sales, Operations, and clients
- Identify revenue opportunities and contribute to competitive market strategies
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Review financial statements and support effective budget and labor management
- Monitor departmental expenses and implement cost-control strategies
- Assist in forecasting, staffing, and performance analysis
Team Development
- Motivate, mentor, and develop department leaders and associates
- Support training efforts and performance management
- Promote accountability, engagement, and continuous professional growth
If you have:
- 2+ years hotel supervisory or Assistant General Manager experience
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, or Wyndham strongly preferred
- Proven success in guest satisfaction and service delivery
- Strong grasp of hotel financials, budgeting, and labor management
- Experience supporting or collaborating with sales efforts
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational results
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
