Registered Nurse (RN)- Oncology AssociatesUnder the direction of the physician or mid-level provider, this position is responsible for providing individualized nursing-process based care to SVMC Cancer Center patients.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses - Infusion to join our healthcare team in Oncology. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapy. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support patients in their treatment journey.Under the direction of the physician or mid-level provider, this position is responsible for providing individualized nursing-process based care to SVMC Cancer Center patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides patient care to Oncology patients as necessary including but not limited to obtaining vital signs
- completing assessments
- triaging patient needs
- delivering nursing care.
- Other duties include;
- administering treatments,
- including but not limited to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and injections.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
- Successful completion of ONS Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy provider course and experience in oncology required but willing to accept someone with ICU experience and give a certain amount of time to complete the certification.
- Ability to obtain Vermont State Registered Nursing license required.
- Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Strong critical thinking and triage skills to perform duties that are detail oriented and support highest level of care and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills required,
