About the role
The Bridges Aide is a part-time (up to 30 hours/week) position supporting students in the Bridges School program. This role works under the supervision of Bridges Teachers and collaborates closely with therapists and other team members to provide consistent academic, behavioral, and functional support throughout the school day.
Bridges Aides play a key role in helping students access instruction, build independence, and develop social and daily living skills in a structured, supportive environment.
What you'll do
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities
- Provide individualized and small-group support to reinforce academic and therapy goals
- Support students in following classroom routines and behavior expectations
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and provide positive reinforcement
- Facilitate social interactions and encourage peer engagement
- Plan and lead small group or center-based activities as directed
- Provide one-on-one support for students with higher levels of need
- Assist with student transitions throughout the day
- Support students with mobility, positioning, feeding, and personal care as needed
- Set up, organize, and maintain classroom materials and learning spaces
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure consistency of care
- Observe therapy sessions and carry over strategies into the classroom
- Participate in team meetings and required trainings
- Encourage independence by adapting support to student needs and abilities
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school, childcare, or therapy setting
- Ability to follow direction and implement instructional and behavioral strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable assisting with physical and personal care needs
- Organized, reliable, and able to maintain a structured environment
- Willingness to learn and collaborate across disciplines
- Genuine interest in supporting children with diverse developmental and learning needs
The pay range for this role is:13 - 13 USD per hour(TTP)
