POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is the steward of the Destination Hospitality bar experience—setting the tone, anticipating needs, sharing knowledge, and executing service with heart and style.
Bartenders craft drinks with precision, creativity, and care while engaging guests with confidence, warmth, and intuition. Through deep product knowledge, attentive service, and a genuine love of hospitality, Bartenders offer a memorable experience that draws guests to return to again and again.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
BAR SERVICE EXECUTION & OPERATIONS
- Execute Destination Hospitality’s bar and service standards with consistency, precision, and genuine warmth.
- Be punctual, prepared, and in proper uniform for every shift.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately, efficiently, and according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Accurately enter beverage and food orders into the point-of-sale system.
- Manage bar tickets with urgency and attention to detail to support seamless service for both bar guests and the dining room.
- Complete all assigned opening, running, and closing bar side work thoroughly and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the bar, service wells, and bar equipment at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate needs to management, and minimize waste through proper portioning and handling.
- Reconcile guest checks and accurately manage cash, credit, and comp transactions.
- Follow all local, state, and company alcohol service laws and safety procedures.

- Provide genuine hospitality with heart and style in every guest interaction.
- Welcome and greet guests immediately and warmly; use guest names whenever possible.
- Make guests feel comfortable, valued, and personally cared for throughout their visit.
- Guide guests through the food and beverage menus with confidence, clearly explaining ingredients, spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and preparations.
- Make thoughtful food, cocktail, wine, and beverage recommendations tailored to guest preferences and occasion.
- Monitor the dining experience attentively and respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or concerns.
- Identify and responsibly manage guest alcohol consumption, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Address issues with empathy and professionalism and escalate to management when appropriate.
- Share guest feedback, preferences, and special occasions with management to enhance future visits.
KNOWLEDGE & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage menus as well as cocktail recipes, spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic offerings.
- Know and understand allergens and dietary restrictions; communicate clearly with the kitchen and management.
- Perform proper wine service for bottle selections and maintain knowledge of all by-the-glass offerings and varietals.
- Commit to the ambitious pursuit of knowledge, continuously developing product knowledge, beverage expertise and hospitality skills to enhance the guest experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation: Tipped Minimum Wage plus gratuities
