DATA COLLECTION SPECIALIST POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Collection Specialist for MAT supports clinical and operational teams in delivering high-quality addiction recovery services. This role ensures accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of MAT program data in compliance with established clinic policies, procedures, and contract standards. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team, the specialist upholds best practices in health services documentation and contributes to performance monitoring, quality improvement, and outcome measurement for MAT services.
DATA COLLECTION SPECIALISTFUNCTIONS:
- Collects and maintains accurate data related to Medical, Behavioral Health, and MAT services.
- Responsible for collecting, tracking and analy
- Assists with MAT grant tracking, including data entry to track MAT program accomplishments, outcomes, patient volume, revenue, etc.
- Prepares descriptive, analytical, and evaluative reports for leadership, compliance audits, and regulatory agencies (including DPH).
- Utilize, input, and extract accurate data from the Electronic Health Record and OMS as needed.
- Ensure medical records and documentation for patients are in full compliance with organizational policies, VitalCore policies and procedures, federal and state laws and regulations, performance improvement initiatives, and contractual obligations.
- Participates in professional development through in-service training, workshops, conferences, and self-study to maintain current knowledge. Complies with all human resources requirements for training and credentialing
- Communicates and collaborates with providers, nursing, behavioral health staff, and custody to facilitate patient registries, MAT appointments, and community outreach activities.
- Attends MAT collaborative meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated care
- Builds and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships across disciplines and agencies.
- Provides technical support to staff on documentation standards, reporting protocols, and database usage.
- Participates in quality assurance and program evaluation efforts to strengthen MAT service delivery
- Upholds patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations
- Demonstrates professionalism, accuracy, and accountability in all aspects of data collection and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
DATA COLLECTION SPECIALIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from an accredited college or University.
- Bachelor’s degree in social or health services field.
- 2 years of experience working with behavioral health or addiction recovery population preferred.
- Data collection and reporting experience.
- Satisfactory background investigation report.
- Licensure or Clinical Certification as required by state in which clinic operates.
