Who We AreAt Firestorm, we’re on a mission to revolutionize how defense solutions are designed and delivered. Our goal is to empower U.S. ally nations to effectively deter aggressors — regardless of their defense budget — through innovative, cost-efficient technologies. We call this vision “democratized deterrence.” As a VC-backed company at the intersection of defense and Silicon Valley, we’re pioneering the development of mission-adaptable aerial vehicles that put power back into the hands of operators. By prioritizing operator effectiveness, we’re pioneering a new era of aerial vehicle design. We aim to upend the traditional defense procurement model by delivering world-class capabilities at a fraction of the usual cost. Join us at Firestorm as we redefine defense procurement, making cutting-edge technology accessible to all at a fraction of the cost.
About the RoleFirestorm Labs is seeking a proactive and strategic Operation Sustainment Lead to join our growing team in San Diego. This role owns the design and integration of Firestorm’s initial delivery and post-delivery sustainment model across deployed drone platforms and xCell manufacturing systems. The individual in this role ensures our systems can be deployed, supported, and kept operational within real customer logistics environments by defining how spares are provisioned, consumables are managed, and repairs are handled in the field.
Working across engineering, supply chain, and customer teams, this role architects delivery and sustainment models that align with customer logistics frameworks, including U.S. military sustainment structures, ensuring Firestorm systems remain mission-ready throughout their lifecycle. This is not a transactional supply chain or warehouse operations role. It is a system-design and customer-integration role focused on the logistics of initial deployment, field sustainment, and long-term operational readiness.

- Partner with Engineering to ensure product design supports field-level maintainability
- Proactively align with Supply Chain on buffer strategy and lead-time risk
