About the Role
We are seeking an Optician II (HSPP) for 2nd Shift to support multiple part number ramps exceeding 200 units per month for a critical missile program. These operators will play a key role in expanding capacity on both existing and new equipment, ensuring production goals are met with precision and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in optical fabrication or related manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Basic computer skills for data entry and process documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with High-Speed Polishing Processes (HSPP)
- Familiarity with precision optical components and coatings
- Previous experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-speed polishing equipment for optical components
- Ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards
- Perform inspections and measurements to verify component accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and optimize processes
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
For California, the hourly pay range for this role is $17.89 - $30.59.

Safety Requirements
