Applicants may be contacted for current or future project opportunities.Job Description (Duties) Work assignments may take place at various industrial sites across Alberta. Transportation or LOA ( Living Out Allowance) may be provided depending on project requirements.Pipefitters at AG&P Canada will:Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and/or fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systemsRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirementsCut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings to install piping systemsSelect appropriate materials, sizes, and fittings based on project requirementsMeasure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power toolsJoin piping sections by welding, brazing, soldering, cementing, or threading jointsInstall supports, valves, piping systems, and control assembliesTest systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety and code standardsClean, maintain, and flush piping systems; remove and replace worn components as requiredPrepare basic cost estimates or material lists when necessaryQualificationsCompletion of apprenticeship program or trade certification (Red Seal preferred)Minimum 3-5 years of relevant industrial work experienceValid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship certificateAbility to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDS, and isometric drawingsExperience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems
