Our internship learning experiences are designed for students and emerging professionals who want hands-on exposure, meaningful mentorship, and a deeper understanding of real-world systems that support families.
What You’ll Learn & Experience
Interns who are placed with our organization engage in purposeful learning that supports both professional growth and community impact. Depending on placement, interns may have opportunities to:
Build foundational knowledge of child growth and development, including how milestones are assessed in practice
Recognize family strengths and risk factors, and learn how community-based protective resources support long-term wellbeing
Develop cultural humility, providing respectful, responsive services to individuals from diverse backgrounds
Apply child abuse prevention principles to real-life situations within a professional, ethical framework
Strengthen communication skills, including one-on-one interactions and group-based settings
Engage in self-reflection, increasing awareness of personal bias and identity as a helping professional
Learn how a mission-driven organization operates, including structure, collaboration, and day-to-day service delivery

This is an unpaid internship and may be eligible for academic credit depending on your institution
