Qualifications:
Must possess excellent clinical skills as a Family Nurse Practitioner with special interest in psychiatry.
Ability to provide individualized care focusing not only on psychiatric disorders and other common health problems, but also on the effects of psychiatric disorders and other health problems have on people and their families.
Ability to explain the details of psychiatric disorders, common health problems, medications, and other topics to help people fully understand how to take care of themselves.
Provide quality of care that results in high level of patient satisfaction.
Must be willing to serve both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Good physical and mental health alertness.
Able to work under supervision or independently as directed by the situation and under stressful conditions.
Education/Experience:
A Registered Nurse who has advanced education and training in a health care specialty area and is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and preferably as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse.
At least two years experience in a psychiatric setting as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and preferably Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse.
