JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Director, Beer is responsible for leading and expanding Mexcor’s Beer Distributor Network on a national scale. This role builds and executes strategic business plans to grow distribution, accelerate brand performance, and secure incremental sales above base business. The Beer Director will develop strong, trusted relationships with distributors and key retail partners, ensuring alignment with Mexcor’s sales goals and brand priorities. The Director, Beer is an individual contributor that collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Growth & Sales Execution
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the beer portfolio nationally and increase market penetration.
- Identify, prioritize, and secure new distribution and retail opportunities.
- Drive incremental volume growth, ensuring achievement of annual sales targets.
- Manage distributor performance and hold partners accountable for execution and results.
Distributor & Customer Relationship Management
- Cultivate positive, credible, and lasting relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts built on trust, collaboration, and value.
- Serve as the primary liaison to distributor network leaders, providing guidance, support, and direction.
- Conduct joint business planning, market visits, and performance reviews with distributors.
Brand Building & Market Development
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify market opportunities and champion growth of Mexcor’s beer brands.
- Ensure trade execution excellence including distribution, shelf placement, pricing, and promotional programming.
- Analyze market data and trends to guide decision-making and optimize portfolio performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations to support seamless brand execution.
- Align distributor programs and field execution with Mexcor’s commercial strategy.
- Report progress against objectives and provide business insights to Mexcor sales leadership.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep understanding of the U.S. beer distribution system and retail landscape
- Ability to travel extensively (50%+)
- 5 to 7+ years industry experience managing wholesalers-brokers and On/Off Premise customers
- Supplier experience a bonus
- Proficient and professional use of systems to perform duties and responsibilities including the ability to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals
- Able to analyze and understand data/information while communicating effectively and clearly to a tailored audience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Commercial financial understanding and acumen
- Able to take responsibility for own actions and results; commits to providing a consistently high level of service to customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management
- Able to be nimble in ambiguity; be open to change; embrace innovative ideas
- Driving record must be within MVR policy guidelines throughout employment
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment
