SUMMARY: The Respiratory Supervisor coordinates, supervises, and organizes the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties include: staff scheduling, performing timekeeping functions, training, coaching, and counseling staff, performing therapeutic procedures, and accountable for the day-to-day supervision of the department. The Respiratory Supervisor serves as an effective role model and leader for the organization and upholds Baxter Health’s mission, purpose and values.
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager.
Required to work with the Director of Cardiopulmonary regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Respiratory Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
Experience: One (1) year acute care experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
License: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing. Registered by the NBRC or eligible by being a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
Certification: BLS required
Preferred: Associate Degree, ACLS certification, ACCS certification, PALS, NRP

Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Clinical setting in hospital environment for both inpatients and outpatients

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
7 days a week, Sunday – Saturday 8, 12 and 16 hour shifts
