Junior Regulatory Counsel to join our dynamic
Legal & Compliance team in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you’ll be a key partner in ensuring Orion180’s adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your legal career while working closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to
manage risk, support compliance, and drive business success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:Analyze & Advise: Review statutory and regulatory changes to assess their impact on Orion180’s operations and compliance obligations.
Monitor Regulatory Developments: Stay ahead of industry updates, bulletins, and alerts to maintain company-wide compliance.
Support Investigations: Assist with regulatory inquiries and consumer complaints from state Departments of Insurance.
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal stakeholders on compliance initiatives and ensure alignment with legal requirements.
Contract Oversight: Review vendor contracts and agreements, providing recommendations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Policy Development: Draft, review, and maintain internal policies and procedures to strengthen compliance frameworks.
Legal Guidance: Advise business leaders on legal risks and obligations, balancing compliance with strategic objectives.
Research & Drafting: Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on state and federal statutes and regulations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:Education & Licenses:Bachelor’s Degree requiredJ.D. requiredFlorida Bar licensure preferred
Experience & Knowledge:Experience with state insurance departments or regulatory compliance strongly preferredProperty & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience is a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
