POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient Processing Specialist is often the first point of contact with our facility, so a strong customer service focus is imperative. The Patient Processing Specialist should be able to effectively communicate to obtain necessary information for efficient registration processing. This position has a direct impact on revenue and patient satisfaction; professionalism, great customer service and efficiency all promote the success of the Patient Processing Specialist. Desired qualities for a Patient Processing Specialist are a self-motivated and driven person with high attention to details and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
-
1-2 years customer service experience, including working on a computer.
Required Registration/License/Certification
Preferred Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience
-
1-2 years healthcare/hospital experience and/or customer service experience.
1-year computer experience and the ability to type and spell accurately.
Preferred Registration/License/Certification

Complete WorkKeys with a Level 3 and have a Silver, Gold or Platinum State on the following three sections: Work Place Documents, Graphic Literacy, and Applied Math.
Also acceptable is a National Career Readiness Certificate effective 02/01/2012.
