About the Role:
We are seeking an MA who wants to work in a well-established medical spa clinic. You will play a pivotal role in assisting our medical professionals in delivering top-quality patient care. This role will also support the front desk operations.
Required and Preferred Background
- Minimum 1 year phlebotomy experience a must.
- Minimum 1 year placing intravenous catheters (IVs).
- Minimum 3 years working as a Medical Assistant.
- Prior experience in OBGYN and/or hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
- Certified Medical Assistant, preferred, not required.
- Experience following up with patients/clients regarding treatments, test results, prescription fulfillment and insurance is required.
- Prepare specimens and schedule pick up.
- Inventory and ordering of medical supplies.
- Assist with in-office procedures.
- Experience maintaining and updating patient’s medical records is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical skills.
- Experience with cosmetic/aesthetic treatments is not required but is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of common aesthetic terms, conditions, and treatments.
- Understanding of HIPAA & OSHA regulations.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Clear, concise communication skills.
- Efficiently handle all patient intake forms, consent forms, and other documentation.
- Ability to listen to and gain the confidence of patients.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills.
- Team player.
- Strong sense of professionalism, courtesy, and respect for customers and team members.
- Knowledge of Nextech (EMR) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments in an organized fashion.
- Fluent in English, with excellent writing and grammatical skills.
