Autism Associate - West Des Moines

An Autism Associateis a professional who works with children and adolescents receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to implement their intervention plans working under close, ongoing supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Provide direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in one-on-one and group settings to children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist BCBAs as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols called for in treatment plans.
- Collect, record, and summarize data about clients behaviors through direct observation.
- Nurture clients social skills.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with a treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, and co-workers
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings and professional development events
Requirements:
- Experience working with children
- Experience working with childrenor adolescents with autism or special needs (preferred)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) granted by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (preferred, but not required)

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
