As a Combustion Field Service Technician, you will be maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial combustion systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in combustion equipment, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. The combustion service technicians are generally part of a team of other skilled workers; however, their duties are often performed with minimal supervision so the candidate must be comfortable working independently in a factory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial combustion systems, including burners, and heat exchangers.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose performance issues using specialized tools, meters, and analyzers.
- Calibrate and adjust combustion equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with emissions regulations.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Install, test, and commission new combustion systems, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Document all service work, including diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments, in detailed service reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues, provide solutions, and recommend system improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in combustion and heating systems.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies during service and repair activities.
