Enrichment Specialist to join our amazing team! Roles and Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities The Enrichment Specialist is responsible for organizing and completing the general day-to-day enrichment activities and assists the Kennel Manager with ensuring the kennel enrichment activities are implemented and followed. Essential Functions and Duties Create and implement monthly enrichment calendars for canines on campusCoordinate and execute approved, daily enrichment activities, in alignment with Enrichment Trainer Checklists, throughout the kennel being inclusive of all K9 Caretakers Collaborate with K9 Trainers and Procurement team to ensure Enrichment Trainer Checklists are current with any necessary changes to care and behavior of the canines Ensure Enrichment logs are complete and activity recap is sent daily Complete weekly review and filing of Enrichment Trainer Checklists and Enrichment logsTrack inventory of all enrichment items and report needs to the Kennel ManagerPrepare new enrichment items and clean and store used enrichment itemsOrganize and coordinate weekend playgroups utilizing K9 Trainer approved play group listsMonitor medical and behavioral condition of dogs, notate on the kennel cards and notify the appropriate member of the kennel leadership teamWhen required, perform all duties of K9 Caretaker which includes cleaning, feeding, bathing and animal handling in accordance with K9s For Warriors policies and proceduresAbility to work with dogs on unknown or outdated vaccination historyFollow and adhere to all PPE policiesWork collaboratively, and with a positive attitude, with all K9s For Warriors departments for the care, benefit, promotion, and ultimate wellbeing of canines in our care.Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision and handle oneself in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications and Education RequirementsH.S. diploma or equivalent2 years of animal experience required1 year of kennel experience preferredMust have basic computer literacy skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize items in order of importance Good communication skillsExcellent organization skillsValid driver’s license and meet policy requirements for company auto insurance Resourceful, get-it-done attitude; initiative to assist in any area or process; problem solving, seeking answers independently and enthusiastically; flexibility to persist Strong interpersonal skills, a team player, personable, professional, and able to get along with a diverse team
Physical DemandsAbility to exert a moderate to extensive amount of physical effort including, stooping, crouching, twisting, turning, walking stairs, climbing, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds individually.
