About the role
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support our hardware teams. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in systems engineering, mechanics, software development, and propulsion technologies critical to exploration missions.
What you'll do
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of space and ocean exploration systems.
- Contribute to systems engineering processes, including requirements definition and integration.
- Support the development and testing of mechanical components and mechanisms.
- Write, test, and refine software for control, data acquisition, and system simulation.
- Aid in the development and analysis of propulsion systems.
- Conduct data analysis, simulations, and model testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Document experiments, design processes, and project progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to solve complex technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong interest and foundational knowledge in systems engineering, mechanics, software development, or propulsion systems.
- Self-motivated with a passion for exploration and technological innovation.
- Skills:
- Experience with CAD, MATLAB, Python, or other relevant programming tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with control systems, hardware integration, or propulsion technologies is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
The pay range for this role is:20 - 40 USD per hour(San Francisco)
