POSITION SUMMARY:
The Endoscopy Nurse Float is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care throughout all phases of the endoscopy process—from pre-procedure assessment to post-procedure recovery and discharge. This role also includes floating to other clinical areas as needed including infusion and clinic triage. This role requires strong knowledge of patient care in procedural settings, proficient IV insertion skills and the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a thorough understanding of current nursing standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Compassion, professionalism, and adaptability are essential, as is the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are key to success in this role

Promotes patient engagement through effective communication and support through all phases of care including patient scheduling and care coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
Required Licensure: Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of WA
Specialty Certification: BLS and ACLS certification
Required Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in Endoscopy strongly preferred. Proficient IV insertion skills required. Applicants with Pre/Post Op, ICU or ED experience will be considered.
Skills:
- Provides safe administration of nurse sedation through adherence to clinical guidelines, patient monitoring and best practices
- Proficiency in patient monitoring and assessment to ensure safety, comfort and positive clinical outcomes throughout all phases of care
Demonstrates calm and patient-focused care in urgent, emergent or unexpected clinical situations
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Clinical setting with exposure to patient care areas
Exposure to procedural areas that may require use of personal protective equipment/devices
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
