The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides comprehensive anesthesia and procedural pain management services for patients undergoing surgical and interventional procedures in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The CRNA delivers safe, effective, and compassionate anesthesia care, including pre-anesthesia assessment, administration of anesthesia, intraoperative monitoring, post-anesthesia recovery—as well as procedural sedation and advanced pain management techniques. This role collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists (if applicable), proceduralists, perioperative nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and enhance patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

CRNA Pre-Anesthesia & Pain Management Care
Anesthesia Care
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care appropriate for outpatient surgical procedures.
- Manage patient airway, hemodynamics, and analgesia intraoperatively.
- Adjust anesthesia plans in response to patient or surgical needs.
- Manage patient emergence from anesthesia and monitor recovery in the PACU.
- Assess and address postoperative pain, nausea, or complications.
- Document anesthesia and pain management interventions thoroughly in the EMR
- Document all anesthesia-related interventions and outcomes in the EMR.
Medical Aesthetics Services
- Perform or support non-surgical medical aesthetic treatments (e.g., injectables such as neuromodulators and dermal fillers, IV hydration, regenerative therapies, and skin rejuvenation procedures, within scope of practice).
- Educate patients about aesthetic treatment options, expected outcomes, and post-treatment care.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and patient safety to optimize aesthetic outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations, safety standards, and best practices for medical aesthetics.
- Collaborate with the aesthetics team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and service excellence.
Clinical & Administrative Support
- Ensure compliance with ASC and aesthetics program policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including anesthesia and aesthetics-related outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to anesthesia
- Assist with inventory management of anesthesia and aesthetic supplies/medications.
- Support marketing, patient education, and program development efforts for medical aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
- Current certification and licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Washington
- Current ACLS and BLS certification (PALS preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of anesthesia experience in a surgical or procedural setting.
- Experience or training in medical aesthetics preferred (injectables, skin health, regenerative treatments).

Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and meet with team to discuss cases and plan of care
Working Conditions

Outpatient surgical center environment with daytime hours, limited nights/weekends.
Requires physical stamina for long periods of standing, lifting, and transferring patients.
Exposure to medications, biohazards, and operating room environment.

Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
