Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a skilled Orthodontic Assistant who is passionate about patient care and excited to grow with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will:
- Have prior dental assisting experience (orthodontic experience preferred)
- Thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to patient comfort and care
- Be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Be eager to continue learning and advancing within the orthodontic field
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures
- Taking and developing dental x-rays as needed
- Assisting the orthodontist during patient care and treatment procedures
- Taking impressions, pouring models, applying sealants/fluoride, and related clinical tasks
- Reviewing patient charts and documentation
- Ensuring an excellent patient experience through communication, comfort, and professionalism
- Following HIPAA, OSHA, and all regulatory guidelines
- Supporting the flow and efficiency of the orthodontic schedule
Requirements:
- Previous dental assisting experience required (orthodontic experience strongly preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must register with the Office of Professional Regulations within 30 days of hire
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- X-ray certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
