Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Head Baker to join our team of bakers. As an Assistant Head Baker, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Baker in managing the daily operations of our bakery, including the development of new recipes, overseeing the production process, and training new employees.
Role & Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the Head Baker to create new formulas and recipes for baked goods.
· Supervise and train new employees in baking techniques, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment.
· Monitor the production process to ensure that quality standards are met.
· Assist with the ordering and inventory of baking supplies and ingredients.
· Ensure that all baked goods are prepared and baked according to established standards and recipes.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Assist with the preparation of baked goods for special events and catering orders.
· Multitask and prioritize tasks to meet daily deadlines.
Requirements & Physical Demands
· Proven hands-on experience as a Baker, ideally in a leadership role
· In-depth knowledge of baking science and techniques
· Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality baked goods
· Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
· Formal training or certification in baking is preferred but not required
· Proven leadership and management skills
