Job Title: Rehabilitation Technician
Department: Physical Rehabilitation
Reports to: Director, Physical Rehabilitation
Classification: Regular, Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Work location: Onsite
Starting Salary Range: $30,851 - $36,295
Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Technician performs designated and supervised routine therapy tasks, as trained by and under the direction of licensed therapists. This includes providing support for the delivery of clinical services, as well as general clerical and reception duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clinical support duties include setting up and cleaning treatment areas and equipment, assisting therapists during treatment sessions, managing supply inventory, escorting patients, and assisting patients with paperwork.
- Clerical and reception duties include answering and accurately routing incoming calls, scanning documents, typing messages into the medical record, scheduling patients by phone and in person, collecting and reconciling fees, ensuring patient's information is up to date, verifying eligibility for services.
- Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned; May include interpretation if bilingual.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both oral/written with a broad base of stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Moderate level of desktop computer skills to include the O365 productivity software suite.
- Working knowledge of EHR systems and data entry a plus.
- High level organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities on varying timelines.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
Education and Experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- No prior experience is required.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work is frequently active in nature and requires the ability to frequently move around a large workspace on multiple floors. Requires some amount of computer work and hand dexterity and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on a regular basis.
