iEducate is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Administrative Finance Specialist to support our mission by managing core accounting and financial operations. This role will oversee payroll processing, invoicing schools for services, and handling general nonprofit finance functions to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll & Benefits
- Process bi-weeklypayroll in coordination with payroll provider.
- Ensure accuracy of employee time and benefit deductions.
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
 
 
 
- Accounts Receivable & Invoicing
- Generate and send invoices to schools and partner organizations for services rendered.
- Track payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Maintain accurate customer accounts and payment records.
 
 
 
- Accounts Payable & Expense Management
- Processreimbursements, and perform credit card statement reconciliation..
- Ensure accurate categorization of expenses.
- Maintain organized records for audits and compliance.
 
 
 
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Support preparation of financial statements for leadership and board meetings.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit finance regulations and grant reporting requirements.
 
 
 
- Budget, Audit and Tax Support
- Assist with annual budgeting process.
- Provide documentation for annual audit or financial review.
- Track restricted vs. unrestricted funds as needed.
- Support annual tax reporting by preparing and maintaining necessary documentation and coordinating with external accountants.
 
 
 
- General Administration
- Maintain financial files, records, and documentation including but not limited to creating or revising finance related standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with leadership to improve financial processes and systems.
 
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of accounting experience required.  Non-profit experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with payroll systems. Experience with processing payroll, preferably in non-profit environment.
- Experience providing budgeting, auditing and tax support preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of iEducate.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time: Approximately 10 hours per week, flexible schedule
- Hybrid/remote options may be available.
- Compensation: $30.00 - 35.00/hour depending on experience
