PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The SQL Developer plays a key role in designing and implementing data solutions that support the reporting and analytical needs of the organization. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integration processes. The SQL Developer will collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable data solutions using SQL, SSIS, and Python where applicable.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to extract and manipulate data from the data warehouse in support of business objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with business analysts to design SQL-based solutions that drive efficiency and enhance the quality of reporting outputs.
- Design and build datamarts to streamline workflows, standardize reporting, and improve overall performance.
- Create data extracts and data models for Tableau.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders to establish standardized definitions for categorizing records, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data segmentation.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing approved enhancements.
- Proactively learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies as needed to support evolving business requirements and enhance data solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Desired Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with SQL programming and query optimization
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with SSIS
- Knowledge of health care terminology preferred
- One to three years’ experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to interact with multiple departments in a team environment.

- Office environment with moderate noise level.
- Frequent sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, and long periods working at a computer.
