Driver / Supply Chain Technician Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY
-
The Driver / Supply Chain Technician Supervisor supervises the daily work activities of drivers within the Inventory Management department. Reports to department leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Coordinates requested pickups and deliveries by departments.
-
Oversees the planning, coordination, and modification of routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.

Oversees maintenance and repairs of vehicles, including inspections and tag replacements, as well as obtaining new tags for vehicles.

Monitors GPS/Camera system program in vehicles for violations and takes appropriate action to correct driving habits.
-
Supervises overflow warehouse personnel, mail and mailroom personnel, and transfer of inventory between locations.

Covers driver callouts to ensure continuity of service.

Assists with coordination and deployment of supplies during emergency situations.

Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-
Required Education and Experience
-
High school graduate or equivalent required.
-
Minimum of three years’ experience as a courier/driver or in logistics, preferably in a medical supply environment.

Preferred Education and Experience
-
Associate degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-
Professional knowledge of areas of responsibility to assist in the planning, coordination, and modification of routes

Basic PC and data entry skills are required.
-
Must demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to direct work to subordinates, explain department policies and procedures, and communicate with other professionals

Must meet the insurability policy requirements to drive a CHKD vehicle.
-
Must be able to pass the CHKD driving test within 30 days of employment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
-
Warehouse and/or exterior environment. Possible exposure to extreme temperatures.
