Position Summary
The Senior Marketing Director plays a pivotal role in driving execution and shaping marketing strategy across several of Five Star Franchising’s brands. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this leader will guide Brand Directors to deliver measurable results through systems-driven execution, rigorous performance tracking, and collaborative alignment with cross-functional partners.

This leader will guide multiple Brand Directors, build scalable marketing systems, and turn strategy into measurable results — bringing structure, accountability, and creative discipline to how we run the offense. The right person is a driver, strong communicator, and a collaborative leader. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Someone who knows how to balance strategy and execution — the kind of leader who can elevate people, agencies, and can bring and follow structured processes and approaches for measured results.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and challenge Brand Marketing Directors to deliver measurable outcomes and foster accountability
- Instill a culture of DRIVE—high performance balanced with authenticity, enthusiasm, and collaboration.
- Align teams around clear goals, transparent communication, and a shared playbook for success.
Strategy & Systems Execution
- Partner with the SVP of Marketing to define brand strategies and annual plans that turn vision into action.
- Build scalable marketing systems, dashboards, and processes that ensure every campaign has clear KPIs, accountability, and visibility.
- Champion operational excellence and structured execution—“running the offense” with precision and consistency.
Performance Management
- Drive a test-and-learn culture with disciplined tracking, weekly reviews, and continuous optimization.
- Use performance data to evaluate efficiency, allocate spend, and refine creative and channel strategies.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership with clarity and confidence.
Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Franchise Support to ensure marketing programs meet franchisee and business needs.
- Create transparency through consistent communication, shared dashboards, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Support new brand launches and initiatives that drive system-wide growth.
Qualifications
- Data driven and strong analytical acumen with expertise in campaign measurement, dashboards, and ROI tracking
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Proven success building and running systems and processes that improves and scales marketing execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience
- Experience in franchise, multi-location, or high-growth environments is a plus
