Respiratory TherapistPosition Summary:
Functions as a direct patient care giver under the supervision of a Supervisor or assigned Team Leader.
Licensure:  
 Holds a current Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
Credentials:  
Holds a current Respiratory Therapist credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).  Certified Respiratory Therapist credential accepted (RRT eligible); Registered Respiratory Therapist credential preferred.  Minimum of Associates Degree in Respiratory.  
Certifications:  If Required Check and Initial
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart  Association within 6 months of hire or transfer to department.
 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American
 Heart Association within 6 months of hire or transfer to department. 
Neonate Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire or transfer to department. 
STABLE Completion within 6 months of hire or transfer to department.
Neonatal Pediatric Specialty credentials within 18 months of hire.
