About the Role: The Controller will be responsible for leading and supervising the team of accountants supporting Europe. This role will be critical in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls across multiple jurisdictions. This role includes coordinating and supervising the monthly financial close and reporting processes, review of account reconciliations, supporting local statutory audits and tax filings, and ensuring effective use of the company’s ERP system. The Regional Controller will also be a key business partner to regional leadership, providing strategic financial insight, supporting decision-making, and ensuring full compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution and supervision of all day-to-day accounting functions related to European entities.
- Coordinate and oversee the monthly close and financial reporting in Oracle.
- Review and (limited) preparation of account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of a Balance Sheet review file on a quarterly basis.
- Work with the International Project Accounting Team, FP&A, Sales and Operations to ensure all revenue and invoicing is recorded accurately for the region.
- Support accountants in the coordination, completion and filing of local statutory audits and tax returns.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts for Corporate Treasury.
- Proactive support of the company’s ERP system, training, and improvements.
- Review and approval of local contracts and contracts for entities under purview.
- Preparing reports for U.S. Corporate Accounting, U.S. Tax, U.S. Treasury and U.S. FP&A.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements across all European jurisdictions.
- Supervision of regional finance team and outsourced accounting providers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA or CIMA qualification required.
- 5+ years of progressive financial experience, including international or regional exposure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems; preferably Oracle.
- Experience working with remote and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on and proactive approach to financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
- Ability to apply business acumen through analytical/mathematical means.
