Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role involves handling, organizing, and transporting materials efficiently while ensuring accuracy and safety in a warehouse or stockroom setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Store materials in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms, or storage areas.
- Pack and unpack materials for stocking or distribution.
- Perform physical inventory checks of warehouse tools and materials.
- Inspect incoming shipments for defects or damages and report issues to supervisors.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and maintain inventory records.
- Distribute materials and supplies to designated locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or related field preferred.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and improve work processes proactively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, and manual handling of materials.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally lift heavier loads.
- Ability to crouch, stretch, and perform repetitive movements.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying conditions.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a warehouse setting where teamwork and efficiency are essential.
Shift:
Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
