Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist supports a variety of HR functions and serves as a resource to managers and staff on HR-related matters. In a healthcare setting, the HR Generalist ensures compliance with healthcare-specific regulations while fostering a positive employee experience. This role provides operational support in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, benefits and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination when needed at the site level.

Ensure compliance with credentialing, licensure, and other regulatory requirements.

Maintain employee records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards (e.g., DNV, HIPAA).

Support benefits administration, annual open enrollment, and employee inquiries in coordination with the Benefits team.

Support compliance efforts related to labor laws, healthcare accreditation, and organizational policies.

Assist with the maintenance and keeping the HRIS up to date

Maintain the job descriptions and keep them up-to-date as changes occur.

Participate in HR projects and initiatives that support employee engagement, diversity, and workforce development.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
Experience:
-
2–4 years of generalist-level HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment.

Familiarity with employment laws and healthcare HR compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, DNV).
Skills:

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, state and federal employment laws, and healthcare compliance.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Lawson, Kronos, etc.).
