About the Role:
This position is responsible for accurately reviewing and/or correcting medical billing data for claims submission to insurance companies. Resolves BAR claim edits and payer rejections. Obtains and submits copies of supporting documentation. Updates patient demographic/insurance information in the host system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews billing exceptions and executes necessary updates/corrections for clean, compliant submission of paper and electronic claims to third party payers.
- Resolves claim edits.
- Re-queue claims upon resolution of payer rejections.
- Reviews insurance eligibility and verifies patient account information.
- Notifies management team of clearinghouse electronic claims alerts and disruptions.
Requirements:
- Education: HS Diploma/GED preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of associated experience.
Position is hybrid remote. Candidates must be local.
