Sr. Director, IT
Job Summary:
The Senior Director, IT, will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of WMC Health network. This position will act as the site CIO for the Northern region, and will work with the WMCH Leadership Team to drive technology strategy and plans that define how technology should be utilized to enable the organization's overall business strategy that is aligned with organizational goals. The position will communicate with employees, stakeholders and vendors to ensure technologies are used appropriately.This role will apply knowledge of best practices to define and shape the overall strategy, governance, organization structure/staffing, architecture and processes for Enterprise Technology. This leader will maximize business value by conducting rigorous analyses and develop strategic multi-year road maps in concert with other IT leaders and business/clinical teams.
The person in this role must have deep and sound technical capabilities across many infrastructure disciplines. They must have a broad experience in managing both on premise and outsourced systems and must have a strong understanding of the business, strong relationship building skills, effective leadership skills and excellent communication skills.This position reports to the VP – Associate CIO of Information Technology and manages the Enterprise Technology team (FTE and contract).
Responsibilities:
- Drive IT transformation efforts; focus on organizational strategy and own/shape the move toward a unified IT platform across the enterprise
- Create and execute the 2-3 year infrastructure technology roadmap and architecture
- Develop technical aspects of WMCH’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Responsible for detailed design and configuration of new infrastructure services/projects
- Provides subject matter expertise for IT projects and initiatives
- Collaborates with IT and Business Leadership in the planning and implementation of technology solutions
- Develop and test a consistent, reusable disaster recovery process for the delivered IT services
- Manage and develop a high quality architecture and infrastructure team
- Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
- Communicate technology strategy to partners and business leaders
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
- 7 years of healthcare focused technology strategy experience, required
- Familiarity with technical concepts, operating models and a strong passion for technology and staying abreast with industry trends, preferred
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, required
- Masters degree, preferred

- Strong relationship and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with senior business and IT executives
Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making; provides oversight and guidance to team projects of highest priority and importance
