We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to join our administrative team. This position plays a critical role in managing our financial records and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Milemarkers Therapy, Inc. This position will play a crucial role in managing our financial records and ensuring accurate reporting. The Bookkeeper will contribute to our mission by maintaining financial integrity and supporting our various programs in the community.
Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks or other accounting software
· Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees
· Maintain accurate employee records, including time tracking, PTO, and benefits
· Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
· Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
· File and manage payroll tax forms and other compliance documentation
· Collaborate with management to improve accounting processes
· Manage all required employee training programs
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience required
· Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Payroll platforms (e.g., Paylocity)
· Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and accounting principles
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
· Experience with multi-state payroll a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
· Experience with benefits administration or HR support
