Manager, People SystemsPOSITION SUMMARY:
Oversees and optimizes organizations HR Technology platforms, ensuring they support business goals and enhance the employee experience. Role is a hands-on expert who thinks strategically about how HR systems can drive towards success. Role leads system configurations and optimizations while bringing a system thinking approach to how we design and deliver services. The “Systems” component of the role reflects a focus on understanding how people, processes, and technology work together to think holistically about how systems support and enhance the way the workforce operates.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/IT/HR or related field is required. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- HRIS/HRIP certifications desired.
- Strong understanding of business systems such as HR, Finance and/or Payroll practices and applications and how they are interrelated.
- Access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple worksites.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6-8 years of hospital/healthcare experience required. Knowledgeable of standard financial statement and comparison reports.
- Must have complete knowledge of payroll procedures, and a minimum of 3 years of payroll processing work experience.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
- Experience with system integrations and data management.
- 3-5 years of managing data analytics required.
- Strong skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project management.
- 3-5 years direct experience in business related systems, technologies and platforms.
- Skills: Strong Communication, Analytical and Organizational skills required. Self-starter and ability to prioritize based on need and deadlines required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and Oracle experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:
- Owns the overall HR System roadmap and strategy aligning system improvements with business priorities. Defines priorities for enhancements and implementations.
- Ensures data integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems
- Establish and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead management and development of custom reporting and dashboards. Examine and present data to lead the organization in making informed decisions.
- Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data using various statistical and computational techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Design and implement integrations with other systems as needed driving process optimization and automation.
- Assists team as needed in processing biweekly timecards in an accurate and timely manner; ensures that onsite payroll files are maintained timely and accurately for easy record retrieval.
- Assists team as needed to follow-up on missing and/or delinquent time cards to ensure all timecards are processed during payroll cycle, provide reports as requested.
- Assists team as needed to process and compute payroll for current cycle and issuance of paychecks or remittance advices.
- Assists team as needed with paycheck inquiries, including manual and special check requests, issues and problems; determines proper response/course of resolution while maintaining proper workflow controls.
- Balances payroll for all entities; prepares related reports for review with finance, advises immediately of any “out of balance” conditions.
- Manages preparation of annual W2 filings, including preparation, sorting, processing and mailing of W2 forms to employees; prepares balancing reports for review with Director of Accounting and Taxation prior to mailing; ensures annual W2 reporting is timely with Federal (SSA) and State (DRS) agencies.
- Meets with stakeholders as necessary relating to reporting requirement changes, interface/workflow changes, and/or system upgrades.
- Coordinate testing strategy with HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits when Systems releases are issued.
- Develop HR business solutions and effective HR work strategies with appropriate customer service consideration.
- Analyze current workflow and identifies ways to improve HR systems. Implements efficiencies where needed. Communicate enhancements as needed.
- Ensure that HR departmental policies and procedures are developed and followed. Responsible for developing HR polices related to systems issues.
- Triage, troubleshoot and resolve HRMS systems issues.
- Identifies knowledge or practice deficits by analyzing department metrics and works with HR leadership to provide support and education to improve department efficiency.
