TITLE: Underground Construction Quality Control Technician
DESCRIPTION :Construction QC (Quality Control) Technician ensures the integrity, reliability, and compliance of telecommunications installations and services. This role is essential in maintaining industry standards, improving operational efficiency, and supporting safety practices.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and tests on telecommunications equipment, cabling, and installations to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Accurately record inspection and test results using tools such as JotForms. Note any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformances.
- Process Improvement: Recommend corrective actions and assist in developing and refining quality control procedures, checklists, and protocols.
- Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with company policies, engineering drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with installation teams, engineers, and other departments to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license and meet AM Communications MVR qualifications.
- Ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job:
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area
- Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry 80-100 lbs
- Must be comfortable with heights up to 28 feet
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, peers, etc.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry)
- Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders)
- Must be able to work in a loud, noise-filled environment out in the field
