POSITION SUMMARY: Evaluates, plans and implements specific treatment programs to meet identified patient needs in a variety of work settings. Performs in accordance with standards of Physical Therapy practice that are ethical and legal in North Carolina.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate Degree from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program for Physical Therapists. Current North Carolina license or license eligible. BCLS certification; recertification required annually. May require valid NC Driver’s license and access to use of an automobile.
Preferred: Experienced Physical Therapist with Master’s Degree and/or specialty certification.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to unique needs of neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
