Position Summary:
The Decision Support Analyst (DSA) supports the development, maintenance, and usage of decision support systems within Conway Medical Center (CMC). The DSA works with executive leadership and department managers in providing data-driven insights to support strategic advancement and performance improvement, and monitoring productivity.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Health Care Administration required.
Experience
-
A minimum of three (3) years healthcare data analytics required.

Prior experience working with StrataJazz preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
-
Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (HFMA) or other relevant certifications preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Supports the interpretation and analysis of data.
-
Transforms data into knowledge and understanding to inform decisions and improve strategic outcomes.

Recommends, plans and leads initiatives and information solutions to improve data quality, collection, management, and analytical supports.

Works with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements including data, analytics, and financial data needs.

Consolidate data from multiple sources, including electronic health records (EHR), enterprise resource planning (ERP), financial decision support systems, and operational databases.

Understanding of financial budgeting, cost accounting, and patient financial & clinical concepts.

Conducts deep-dive analysis and validation procedures to reconcile and validate data from the source and within the financial decision support application.

Completes monthly/annual updates and maintenance within applicable systems.

Collaborate with team members in FP&A, Accounting, and various other departments to assess data needs and proactively provide support in areas such as process improvement, structure enhancements, and ad hoc requests.

Assists in the preparation of feasibility studies using cost and statistical data from the Decision Support system.

Work functions may include troubleshooting system issues to ensure the continuing operation and maintenance of the program as well as reporting and new implementation services.

Coordinate upgrades, maintain databases, write ad hoc reports, and maintain data dashboards used for various systems.
