SENIOR PURCHASING COORDINATOR
Provides leadership and services as a personnel development resource to the buyers in the areas of education; processes, and procedures that are consistent with the hospital’s purchasing policy objectives. Manages all aspects of contracts related to supplies and services to include but not limited to implementation, execution, renewal, notification, accuracy, and analysis. Also reviews and processes paper and electronic requests on some supplies. Interviews and negotiates some purchasing agreements. Assists other departments with the preparation of their capital budgets.
Maintains contract data for supplies, preventative maintenance and service.
Leadership activities.
Obtains vendor proposals and performs cost comparisons.
Assists other departments with purchasing needs.
Answers telephone and routes call to appropriate person.
High school degree or equivalent needed with additional years of higher education preferred.
- Demonstrated ability with data entry on a personal computer with some Windows application experience preferred.
Require 3-5 years of experience in a hospital purchasing related environment with a demonstrated record of progressive responsibility.
- Oral and written communication skills and demonstrated experience in computerized systems are essential.
Must be able to perform in an accurate and decisive manner in critical and emergency situations when time is critical.|
Must be proficient in Excel.
