GIFT SHOP COORDINATORSummary
Functions in the primary capacity of sales employee with added responsibility to stock, order merchandise, process invoices, straighten and merchandise the back room and selling floor of the Gift Shop. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment, assisting customers in selecting and purchasing gifts, maintaining inventory, ordering merchandise, merchandise the storeroom and selling floor, process invoices, and ensuring the gift shop is clean, organized, and welcoming. This role involves handling sales transactions, restocking merchandise, answering customer inquiries, and supporting overall store operations to create a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
Coordinates receiving process to include checking in product vs. the order, sorting damages which may occur. Helps to maintain an organized backroom and participates in any returns to vendor which may occur. Responsible for entire ordering process. Ensures merchandise is ordered timely. Accurately tags all incoming merchandise and keys into system. Processes all invoices timely. Communicates with appropriate departments. Communicates with Finance items related to payments and invoices. Communicates with Volunteer Coordinator all sales and plans which support is needed. Oversees schedule to ensure store is staffed during operating hours. Greets and welcomes visitors and customers warmly. Assists customers in selecting gifts, providing knowledgeable recommendations about products.
Experience: Required: * 1-3 years
Education: Required: Preferred: * High School / GED
This position would require Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00AM- 3:30PM or 4PM . With one Sunday a month required.
