Join our team:
As the successful Seed Line Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating and running seed line machines and operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety at all times. You will play a key role in maintaining product quality while working collaboratively with supervisors, crew leaders, and team members to meet production goals.
The job details:
Operate seeding machines effectively and efficiently in accordance with schedules and work instructions.
Verify sow cards match tray labels and ensure proper drum selection.
Seed plug trays based on the printed schedule or updates from the Nursery Manager.
Maintain quantity and quality standards in line with specifications.
Enforce and follow all workplace safety regulations.
Communicate promptly with the Seed Line Crew Leader, Production Supervisor, and Production Manager regarding any issues or changes.
Maintain material inventory and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
Adjust to schedule changes and unexpected delays with flexibility and problem-solving.
Operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read English and accurately enter data into computer systems.
Clean criminal history and drug-free.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Strong ethical standards with the ability to set a positive example for others.
