We are looking for a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our Radiology Department on a part-time basis for rotating Sunday PM shifts (3p-1130p). Also seeking mid-shift support every other Saturday (11a-730p) if interested.

Job Summary
Performs a variety of basic and advanced CT procedures under the direction of the Staff Radiologist and according to departmental protocols. Provides direct patient care, ensures safety for all patients, and delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging. Performs IV injections of approved CT contrast agents as instructed. Reviews procedures with the Radiologist as needed.
Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures following departmental protocols and physician instructions.

Verify patient identification, medical history, and exam orders before procedures.

Safely administer and monitor IV contrast injections per hospital and departmental policy.

Assess patients for contraindications, allergies, and potential complications prior to contrast use.

Monitor patient condition during and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.

Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding procedures, preparation, and post-exam expectations.

Collaborate with Radiologists to review images and adjust protocols when needed.

Recognize and report critical findings or urgent clinical concerns promptly.

Maintain accurate documentation in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.

Ensure radiation dose optimization while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Troubleshoot CT equipment and escalate issues promptly to leadership or service engineers.

Assist with student technologist training, mentorship, and orientation of new staff.

Participate in quality improvement, performance initiatives, and accreditation requirements (e.g., ACR standards).

Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and functional state.

Adhere to hospital infection control policies, including use of PPE and cleaning protocols.

Provide backup support to other modalities or imaging areas as directed by leadership.
Work Experience
Qualifications
-
Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiography Program
-
Current ARRT certification
-
ARRT (CT) credential (or CT Registry Board eligible)

IEMA licensure (required)

BLS certification (required)

IV certification (preferred)

Advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
